This device does not work with AT&T Pay As You Go / GoPhones. It took me a few days and hours with consumer service to figure this out.
This device requires a regular att cell phone plot with a Data Connect plot. I’ve read reviews that it doesn’t work with iPhone sim cards either.

Pros:
+ Works for Windows AND Mac.
+ Does what it’s suppose to, has pretty excellent greeting. Slightly better than my cellphone anyways.
+ Most Windows Laptops have an prompt card slot.
+ Protrudes less than USB models.
+ Cheaper than comparable USB models.
+ Feels pretty solid.
Cons:
- Set up was somewhat of a pain.
- It’s an prompt card meaning it can’t plug in to the new 15″ Macbook Pro (prompt slot is only available for older models of Macbook Pro or the new 17″ Macbook Pro).
- Prompt cards are a dying boundary. USB is better in so many ways albeit, more expensive.
Other View:
I did not reckon a 1 star rating was honest at all seeing as it works as described and it REQUIRES AN AT&T DATA PLAN (as expected). So of course you can’t buy a Go-Phone and use the sim. You should not buy this if you don’t know what you’re doing. Other than that, it’s a excellent product for the cash especially if you have an prompt card slot.
